About Seaton Tennis Club

Welcome to Seaton Tennis Club! The Club is located on an attractive green space that we share with the Seaton Cricket Club site near the centre of Seaton – the information and links below will help you find us. Whether you are a total beginner, a social player or a match player, we offer an open, friendly environment where you can enjoy and improve your tennis, meet other players of a similar standard, play matches or enter tournaments and make friends at the same time.

There are 6 tennis courts with a choice of court surface, tar macadam or artificial grass and floodlighting so that winter or summer you can carry on playing tennis. The articial grass courts were re-surfaced in February 2016. There is also a spacious Clubhouse opened in 2013 with changing facilities with showers, kitchen/bar facilities, an area where members can relax and socialise. The Clubhouse was recently extended, modernised and upgraded supported by a grant from Sport England and includes more social space and a comfortable court viewing area. There is ample, free off-road parking in the Club car park.

We believe that anyone who wants to play tennis should be encouraged and enabled to do so. There are a variety of membership tariffs – including family and student membership – so that you can choose one that suits you. The courts are available every day from early morning until late in the evening to ensure that those who have work, childcare or other commitments can still come along and play. Our coaching team offers individual and group coaching sessions designed for all ages and abilities. We are particularly keen to encourage children to take up the sport so we have tennis programmes specifically catering for junior members from ages 5 – 18 years. There are also dedicated Club slots when adults can just come along and join other members in informal tennis sessions – or you can join our Pay and Play sessions where adult coaching and tennis play are combined. Accomplished players also have the opportunity to play in the East Devon Leagues where we currently have 9 teams playing throughout the league structure.

We are affiliated with the Lawn Tennis Association and have recently obtained the prestigious LTA Clubmark award, granted to those clubs who have systems, protocols and procedures in place to ensure competent administration and that comply with LTA standards.

If you think you might enjoy learning or playing tennis, or you hope to improve your standard of play, then please come along to the Club for a taster session or contact the Membership Secretary by phone or email (see below). We look forward to meeting you.
